WHY IS THE NEW YORK TIMES OUTING CIA AGENTS?

Imagine my surprise last week when I heard Joe Scarborough on Morning Joe discussing the New York Times outing a CIA agent!

I know I’ve been wrapped up in the election, Obama, HRC, the DNC, PUMA’s and the like but I didn’t think I was that far removed to have missed this story. Well, better late to the game than never.

Well, it turns out the MSM has no stomach for reporting on this. Apparently, Valeria Plame being outed by Robert (Darth Vader) Novak is one thing, but when the Times exposes an agent it is justified!?! Guess not, right? Wrong! My God, how is this possible? Keith Olbermann missed an opportunity to be synthetically outraged . . . you mean no “Special Comment” on this outing?

Can we state this once and for all, the outing of any CIA agent by any source should be punishable in some fashion. It was wrong to out Valeria Plame and it was wrong of the Times to out Mr. Martinez.

There are many, many, people who view these politically motivated outings (which in my estimation they were) as treason. If a man or woman has the grit to become a CIA agent they should have a reasonable expectation they will not be outed by people in the country they are trying to protect.

Since it is possible an outing could, in fact, happen accidentally, this type of outing should be viewed as a 2nd degree offense punishable by (at the very least) losing one’s top security clearance, a fine or forfeiture of a significant sum of money, demotion, and a police record.

If in fact the outing was not accidental, like the recent Times action, that should be viewed as a felonious act and fines beginning at $250,000.00 and going upwards seem perfectly fine to me. If the lives of agents, their families, and contacts established over the years are placed at risk because of this kind of foolishness, jail time also seems appropriate.

AND, while I’m at it, I’m sick and tired of hearing talking heads and other assorted political hacks making statements like, “they weren’t really undercover!” Oh, really, and just how do you know that? SO to all lame brained media morons and other assorted fools who pretend to know, listen up. The truth is, the only people who know whether an agent is undercover reside at the agency, and that’s not you fella!

I don’t care if you consider yourself a liberal, conservative, moderate, right wing nut, or left wing nut, outing CIA agents is WRONG and Congress (such as it is) should move to end this once and for all!

New York Times Outs CIA Operative

In an astonishing stroke of irony, the New York Times has outed the name of the CIA operative who interrogated 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, over the objections of CIA Director Michael V. Hayden and a lawyer representing the operative.

Agency officials and legal counsel told the Times that publishing the agent’s name would “invade his privacy and put him at risk of retaliation from terrorists or harassment from critics of the agency.”

In an Editor’s Note linked from the story on KSM’s interrogation, the Times defended its decision by stating that “other government employees” had been “named publicly in books and published articles” or had chosen to go public themselves, by explaining that its policy “is to withhold the name of a news subject only very rarely,” and by arguing the operative’s name “was necessary for the credibility and completeness of the article.”

Times reporter Scott Shane describes his scoop as “the closest look to date beneath the blanket of secrecy that hides the program from terrorists and from critics who accuse the agency of torture.”

The CIA apparently believes that by publishing the operative’s name, the Times put the agent at risk for retaliatory strikes from such “critics” and terrorists, despite his here-described lack of participation in the agency’s “harsh interrogation methods.”

Of course, this is just the latest in a long string of Times articles that have leaked classified and guarded information critical to America’s security and that of its people and public servants. Alert readers have long since stopped expecting any level of consistency from the same liberal media that was obsessed with the naming of Valerie Plame (though they’ve been considerably less obsessed with the actual source of Robert Novak’s column, Richard Armitage).

The Central Intelligence Agency asked The New York Times not to publish the name of Deuce Martinez, an interrogator who questioned Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other high-level Al Qaeda prisoners, saying that to identify Mr. Martinez would invade his privacy and put him at risk of retaliation from terrorists or harassment from critics of the agency.

After discussion with agency officials and a lawyer for Mr. Martinez, the newspaper declined the request, noting that Mr. Martinez had never worked under cover and that others involved in the campaign against Al Qaeda have been named in news stories and books. The editors judged that the name was necessary for the credibility and completeness of the article.

The Times’s policy is to withhold the name of a news subject only very rarely, most often in the case of victims of sexual assault or intelligence officers operating under cover.

Mr. Martinez, a career analyst at the agency until his retirement a few years ago, did not directly participate in waterboarding or other harsh interrogation methods that critics describe as torture and, in fact, turned down an offer to be trained in such tactics.

The newspaper seriously considered the requests from Mr. Martinez and the agency. But in view of the experience of other government employees who have been named publicly in books and published articles or who have themselves chosen to go public, the newspaper made the decision to print the name.

My only thought was . . . maybe in the next video the little critters could be depicted wearing little patches with the OBAMA shield that debuted last week.

Olbermann chooses Olbermann as today’s “Worst Person In the World!”

There was a time I greatly admired Olbermann’s style and obvious intellect. He is a wonderful wordsmith who can be amusing when he chooses. He can also be an insufferable bore when he makes pronouncements like last night’s assault on Geraldine Ferraro’s contentious comments about Barack Obama.

Olbermann just had to insert himself into the Geraldine Ferraro/Obama dust up which he termed a “disaster” for Hillary Clinton, her campaign, and half of western world,(sound of deep sigh here, used to emphasize just how important he thought his points were). There he sat, admonishing and chastising Mrs.Clinton to get control of her campaign’s surrogates.

In the process of his 9 minute and 48 second analysis,we were forced to endure his overwrought, hysterical linkage of David Duke’s name to the Clinton campaign. OMG, did I tell you there was hand wringing and he was thumping on his desk to emphasize certain points, lest we mere mortals missed them? What a jerk!

Hillary’s crime? She’s campaigning to win. Well, that’s a hellava thing for an annoying woman to do.She wants to win? You mean she wants to beat a man? You mean like Billy Jean beat Bobby Riggs? Sorry I had to show my age, but I couldn’t think of another comparable match-up that was close.

Worse still, we are to believe that if Hillary points out an Obama weakness (Shhhhhh! the Republicans might hear what’s being said. No kidding! I mean it! Shhhhhh!) That the Republicans will use it against Obama if he’s the Democratic Party’s nominee for president. Say, what? You mean you really think the Republicans don’t already have their Obama playbook in place?

These are the same guys who turned their political guns on Max Cleland, a hero who sacrificed a third of his body in war, a Democrat who sits in a wheel chair minus most of one arm and both legs, a man who served his country with honor and distinction in the Senate. Cleland was the victim of a Republican smear campaign waged so Georgia could gain a Republican seat in the Senate. Need to ask how Georgia’s new junior Senator voted for the war?

The Republicans don’t need Hillary or her campaigns ads to do damage. If you think they do, you gotta lay off all that Obamakins Kool Aid. Republicans eat their own.Witness the South Carolina primary election between Bush and McCain. These are of the disciples of Karl Rove . . . disciplined disciples who plan years in advance for political wins and gains, and who have forgotten more about dirty tricks than the Democrats will ever know.

You, Keith Olbermann make me want to wretch. Linking the Hillary campaign and David Duke in the same sentence represents all that is wrong with the media and politics in this country. You prostitute yourself and your lofty words in the name what? Fairness? Honesty? Clarity on race and gender relations in this country?

Thanks to your serpentine logic, you have (yet again) hardened the position of women like me,women who are old enough to remember it wasn’t that long ago when jobs were posted in the newspapers according to male and female positions; when a female couldn’t get a credit card or establish credit in her own name until the Fair Credit Act was passed in 70′s; when female athletes were denied equal access to facilities and scholarships their male counterparts took for granted. We remember that Title IX had to be enacted before female athletes would have the same access to opportunity as their male counter parts in schools and colleges across the country.

You remind me of a white male business associate I was talking to a few years ago.We were discussing discrimination against women in society. He was dismissive about every example I gave him. Finally,in frustration, I asked him if he had ever been a victim of discrimination. “Oh, yes, of course”, he offered. Once he had received a B in a course! Yes, a B. He’d had tough life indeed. Need I say more?

The only filth this country is awash in is the kind of blather you spewed out last night. Mr. Olbermann shame on you for knowingly or not, intentionally or not, stirring the race gender pot and calling it “commentary”.

And so for your shameless use of the phrase, “Shame on you” sometimes interchanged with “Have you no shame?” and for stooping to the worst kind of gender and race baiting rhetoric, you Keith Olbermann are awarded the first place honor of WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD.

THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT 2012

Herman Cain crushed the so-called first tier candidates Mitt Romney (aka mittens) and Rick Perry in yesterday’s Florida straw poll. Cain’s win is important enough to bring international interest, with the International Business Times calling it a new race.

Surprise, surprise. surprise, (not!) the Sunday talk shows are chattering about Cain defeating Romney and Perry in the Florida straw poll.

What is left unsaid is that the real surprise to them is that the voters are not following the MSM & GOP elites narrative on who is likely to run against the fraud Obama.

Their narrative has no room for Herman Cain and so they barely/rarely cover him. Why bring attention to a man who can really turn this country around, right? And so they speak his name in whispers or not at all! All of that changed yesterday.

One of the lessons to be learned in the 2012 election is name recognition isn’t everything. It’s the message that counts! Simply put so even a Progressive “journalist” can understand, the truth will out!

What the GOP elites and the MSM fail to realize, is that they have made themselves increasingly irrelevant to the voters of America. They are as tone deaf to the voters as Obama is to capitalism.

A Cain victory over Obama is payback by the Birthers and independents for the GOP’s failure to tell the truth about Obama’s ineligibility. It is payback for knowingly leading the nation astray. Obama’s a fake and everyone knows it, with the possible exception of the most rabid Obots.

Even worse than Obama’s fraudulent presidency (Born a Brit, not Legit) has been his clear inability to perform the tasks at hand. BHO likes the pomp and circumstance. but the work needed to truly be the POTUS. God, he is such a waste, such an empty suit!

Unlike Romney (picked by Rove) and Perry (said to be NWO), Cain is not a  bought man, and that boys ‘n girls is like a breath of fresh air.  Unlike Obama, Cain thankfully is not a Progressive!

Over at American Thinker the question was posed, “Is the Cain win an anyone but Romney vote?”  I think not. Cain is the real deal, and he’s Obama’s worst nightmare!

OBAMA BORN A BRIT NOT LEGIT
Let's be clear. The eligibility requirement for POTUS is natural born citizen, not naturalized citizen, not native born citizen, not citizen of the United States.
Each type of citizenship has a legal definition and is very specific despite the attempts by Team Obama, the co-conspirators in the judiciary, Congress, and the MSM to conflate the terms and bastardize the Presidency.
