Months ago, I asked how the Catholic Kennedys could support BHO given his position on abortion. I never understood why Caroline & Ted Kennedy were such open and ardent supporters of Obama’s presidency. They are visible members of one of America’s most Catholic families. One would think that Obama’s statement that he didn’t want either of his daughters “punished” with a baby if they made a mistake would have been enough to give them pause.

Apparently Caroline Kennedy’s support of Barack has come at a price. My question is how tone deaf can Obama and Caroline both be? Obama supports partial birth abortion and it is now being reported that Caroline supports abortion as well. Is anyone surprised that the Vatican nixed the appointment?

The Vatican has blocked the appointment of Caroline Kennedy as US ambassador, according to reports.

Vatican sources told Il Giornale that their support for abortion disqualified Ms Kennedy and other Roman Catholics President Barack Obama had been seeking to appoint.

Mr Obama was reportedly seeking to reward John F Kennedy’s daughter, who publicly gave her support to his election bid. She had been poised to replace Hillary Clinton as New York senator, but dropped out amid criticism that she lacked enough experience for the job.

The Italian paper said that the Vatican strongly disapproved of Mr Obama’s support for abortion and stem cell research. The impasse over the ambassadorial appointment threatens to cloud his meeting with the Pope during a G8 summit in Italy in July.

Ms Kennedy, 53, has said that she supports abortion. Raymond Flynn, a former US ambassador to the Vatican, said earlier this week that Ms Kennedy would be a poor choice.

Hey Caroline, you know the old joke . . . “What do you call a Catholic that picks and chooses what they want to believe? . . . a Protestant.” Sorry, ’bout the joke, but how ( in your wildest dreams) did you think the Vatican could possibly welcome your ambassadorship? Your public position supports abortion (OK, call it pro-choice if you want to) and is in direct opposition to a basic tenant of the Catholic Church which supports all life. I mean really, when are you going to stop drinking that Kool-Aid?

First it was your ill fated attempt at taking Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat and now this. I’d think long and hard before before making another public mis-step. Your public persona is tarnished enough. I loved your father and your brother . . . admired your mother greatly . . . I’m wondering, ” What can you be possibly be thinking?” Like I said, you should think long and hard before you make another mis-step.

I don’t like things that are out of place, that stick out without a rational explanation for their being there. Michele Obama’s black & red dress with the prominent “X” in the front is an example of an”out of place” moment in time that makes no sense in the context of the situation .

The Kennedy relationship with Obama is another example. It never made sense to me. There was/is something slightly odd about it unless one steps back and looks at larger possibilities.

Princess Caroline’s announcement that she would like Hillary Clinton’s Senate seat got me thinking about this odd collection of characters, again. Teddy and Caroline dissing the Clinton’s and endorsing Obama always was unsettling. Then I found a connection with the Obama “natural born citizen” saga and a connection with Caroline’s first cousin, Maria Shriver, and her husband Governor Schwarzenegger.

Since bloggers, patriots, and a host of other citizens began their search for the truth about Obama’s citizenship we have been accused of holding Obama to a differnet set of standards. Not true.

In fact given the lack of coverage by the MSM, one would think that a candidate’s eligibility under the “natural born citizen” first came to light with Obama. Nothing could be further from truth. This has been an ongoing question for many, many candidates. Obama’s wasn’t the first candidate facing this problem nor will he be the last unless and until the Constitution is changed by amendment.

I would ask you to review these 4 exhibits and ask yourself this. If Obama is allowed to side step the Constitution and serve as POTUS what is to prevent Schwarzenegger from attempting to do the same thing?

Exhibit one – From an article in USA Today written in 2004

Should the Constitution be amended for Arnold?

Matthew Spalding, director of the Center for American Studies at the conservative-oriented Heritage Foundation, says the amendment’s prospects would “nosedive” if it were perceived to be designed to land Schwarzenegger in the Oval Office. “We don’t amend the Constitution to advance someone’s political career,” Spalding says.

Schwarzenegger faces an additional handicap, Spalding says: “You can’t have a United States president who is a dual citizen.”

Proposals to end the Constitution’s sole discrimination against the foreign-born have kicked around in Congress since the 1870s. But 26 proposed amendments have died in subcommittees.

Exhibit two – Place this comment under some people are different. Why? Leahy had no problem sponsoring a non-binding Senate resolution favoring McCain and by default Obama (who BTW helped sponsor the resolution) when it suited his political agenda.

Sen. Arlen Specter (R-Pa.), who succeeded Hatch, said of Schwarzenegger: “The guy has become governor of California. What more credentials could you ask?”

Some senators are less enthusiastic. The ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Patrick Leahy of Vermont, has denounced the legislative attention to the issue, saying the Senate had more pressing matters.

Exhibit three – No Kennedy connection, right?

Veteran Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy has said he would support a constitutional amendment that would enable his niece’s foreign-born husband, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, to potentially run for President, reports AFP from Washington.

Kennedy’s niece, former journalist and Kennedy heiress Maria Shriver, is married to one of America’s most famous foreign-born citizens.

Exhibit four – View the latest poll from WorldNet Daily. Take a real good look at the questions, the order of the questions, and place them into context with the Obama dual citizenship/ ineligible to be president Constitutional crisis we are facing.

Do you think Arnold Schwarzenegger should be eligible for president?

1. Yes, he’s a legal American citizen now. That’s all that matters

2. Yes, but only if the law is changed to allow foreign-born citizens to run

3. Yes, if dual citizenship is good enough for Obama, it’s good enough for Schwarzenegger

4. Yes, even though I’m not thrilled with the idea, the subversive Democrats need to be kept in check

5. Yes, since Arnold is actually a cyborg created by Cyberdyne Systems in California, he’s technically born in the USA

6. No, his accent is just too un-American

7. No, Arnold is a pretender, as he is showing his true left-leaning colors now in “Calleeforneea”

8. No, the question of national loyalty is the key reason at stake here

9. No, I don’t want anyone to skirt the Constitution

10..No, he is not a natural-born citizen of the United States. End of story

The rich and powerful live by a different set of rules, don’t they.

This was posted many months ago. The issue has arisen again. Yes, Hillary is my girl and I believe she should be POTUS and that Team Obama and the DNC illegally wrenched the nomination from her. Would this country be better off with President Clinton than faux President Obama (how many times is it necessary to state, ineligible because of his dual citizenship status at the time of his birth)?

You bet. Still this doesn’t change the fact, that the Constitution has been side-stepped again for convenience.

Well, how’s this grab you? It seems MSNBC has suddenly found out that there is a document that we live under called the Constitution. Ah, gives me faith in humanity once again, because I was beginning to think we were living in a Banana Republic. With apologies to Banana Republics world wide, of course!

After all, the gang at MSNBC thinks Bush should leave office NOW so that our “Dear Leader” can ascend to the thrown post haste. (opps, I meant throne, it was the election that was thrown!) Never mind that pesky problem of Obama’s ineligibility due to his having been born a dual citizen.

Memo to those fine folks at MSNBC who think they can pick and choose those parts of the Constitution they like and toss out or disregard the parts they don’t like… read a little further in the Constitution to Article II Section 1. Your buddy, Obama, is in deep sneakers if the Supremes decide to hear the the Donofrio v Wells case. They are our last hope against the barbarians trying to tear our Republic apart!

You heard it for yourself in the video. Hillary has a problem being named to the post of Secretary of State because of that pesky old Constitution, you know, the document that is supposed to make us a people and a nation of laws . . . what a quaint concept!

According to Michael Stokes Paulson, a Law Professor who has written on the application of the Emoluments Clause in the past, he says this regarding the Clinton appointment:

[...] The Emoluments Clause of Article I, section 6 provides “No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been encreased during such time.” As I understand it, President Bush’s executive order from earlier this year “increased” the “Emoluments” (salary) of the office of Secretary of State. Last I checked, Hillary Clinton was an elected Senator from New York at the time. Were she to be appointed to the civil Office of Secretary of State, she would be being appointed to an office for which “the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased” during the time for which she was elected to serve as Senator. The plain language of the Emoluments Clause would thus appear to bar her appointment … if the Constitution is taken seriously (which it usually isn’t on these matters, of course).

[...] Unless one views the Constitution’s rules as rules that may be dispensed with when inconvenient; or as not really stating rules at all (but “standards” or “principles” to be viewed at more-convenient levels of generality); or as not applicable where a lawsuit might not be brought; or as not applicable to Democratic administrations, then the plain linguistic meaning of this chunk of constitutional text forbids the appointment of Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

Well, why shouldn’t he disregard this part of the Constitution, as well. After all, isn’t BHO paying attorneys $1,000 an hour (at 3 law firms) to withhold corroborating documents which prove his eligibility to hold the office of POTUS. This obfuscation is because Obama reveres the Constitution, right? Right? (For the dullards out there, that last statement was dripping in sarcasm!)

SO I say, why have a Constitution when our law makers think the laws/rules don’t apply to them? BTW, if you missed it, in a recent national survey of our country’s lawmakers, the majority demonstrated that they are as ignorant about civics and how our government works as the Obama voters. When recently tested, only 44% could pass a government civics test! 44%! And I thought Senator Claire McCaskill was only corrupt . . . guess she’s dumb and stupid, as well.

BTW, don’t anyone write and tell me to be nice. This is my blog and I can rant if I want to. Hey, isn’t that a song?

Apparently Barack only tells the truth in San Francisco or when we hear him or Biden in an unscripted moment. We all know about the “bitter/clinging to their guns and bibles” comment and Joe the Plumber.

This morning I quickly wrote about Obama’s comments about bankrupting the coal industry. His comments really are shocking and yet (surprise, surprise, surprise . . . no not really) no mention about the comments in the MSM. I don’t have to ask the next question, because we already know that had McCain said he was going to decimate an industry that employs thousands of American workers it would be all over the cable networks and in the NY Times.

The comments were made to the San Francisco earlier this year. I’m posting the audio/video again, and a full transcript can be read at Newsbusters.

What is criminal about this story is that voters in coal producing states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Colorado, and Virginia do not know how duplicitous Obama has been. These are Americans that will go into the voting booth and unknowingly vote for their own jobs to be eliminated because the MSM has failed to inform them of this.

Now let me bring your attention to this story found on Washingtonpost.com written just before May primaries when Barry was running against Hillary Clinton.

Obama’s Coal Stance, in Kentucky and Beyond

Over the past two weeks, Obama’s campaign has run an ad in Kentucky depicting Obama as a strong friend of the coal industry, recounting his efforts on behalf of coal miners in southern Illinois and touting his success in securing $200 million in the federal budget last year for “clean coal” technologies.

Obama “helped lead the fight for clean coal to protect our environment and save good-paying American jobs,” the ad’s narrator said, in language similar to a mailing that the campaign sent out in the state.

In another Washingtonpost.com article Barack’s “complicated record” on coal issues is discussed. It’s complicated all right . . . because as far back as 2004 he’s been telling voters he will support the the coal industry. Do the words “stinking liar” resonate here?

The Obama campaign has been accused using strong arm tactics against its opponents for many months. Sadly, the details of the allegations are found almost exclusively on websites on the Internet. By contract, the MSM has been almost silent to these allegations having conducted little or no investigation.

In contrast, one need only to look at the coverage Sarah Palin has received to see how clearly the MSM supports Obama.

The situation has now reached a critical mass.

As previously discussed in Part One, a CBS affiliate in Missouri, (Channel 4 TV News in St. Louis) reported that some Missouri sheriffs and prosecutors had formed a “TRUTH SQUAD” to target anyone who “they” felt had engaged in misleading ad or statements about Senator Obama, most especially that he was not a Muslim.
Additionally, it was reported on numerous sites that Barack Obama’s presidential campaign has sent threatening letters to news agencies in Pennsylvania and Ohio to stop airing ads exposing his anti-gun record sponsored by the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund.
The Obama campaign’s behavior was found to be so egregious, that on Saturday Gov. Matt Blunt issued a statement that pointing out the way in which Barack Obama had tried to intimidate his critics. saying in part:

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

New, to me, are further allegations that Obama’s campaign suppressed a free, honest, and open election that extended to Hillary’s Clinton and the caucuses held in Nevada. This is from The Husaria

Although Hillary Clinton is now encouraging her fellow Democrats to vote for Barack Obama, she (or at least her staff) had serious concerns about the manner in which his campaign was conducting itself in Nevada. Click on the link for the complaint that Hillary Clinton’s campaign filed against Barack Obama’s campaign for what sounds a lot like election fraud and voter intimidation.

I have never been as disheartened about this country as I am right now, but I am also angry. Anger without thoughtful action is wasted and we have precious few days before the election.

We have a presidential candidate that has sought to suppress free speech with the kind of intimidation tactics used in a police state . . . and the MSM remains silent! It a monstrous and scandalous breach of trust of the American people by a man that, if elected, must swear to protect and uphold the Constitution of the United States.

What we have is a pattern of corruption and deception unparalleled in American history. This corruption must be exposed on a national level. Our job is to demand that the MSM take notice, and begin reporting responsibly.

We need to take action beginning today. Here are a few suggestions:

You can forget hoping the MSM will change and bring some balance to the campaign on their own. They won’t. Corporations operate out of self interest and if enough angry people send emails, letters, etc demanding that they cover the story about the Obama Truth Squad they will be forced to act. One letter or email is the equivalent of what 100 other people are thinking but didn’t take the time to write or send. START SENDING EMAILS AND WRITING TODAY.

I will be contacting ABC, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, the NY Times, and the Washington Post. The essence of my emails (since I have multiple email addresses) will be the OBAMA TRUTH SQUAD story must be covered and fairness restored to the balance of the campaign coverage.

The MSM will only act if they have something to loose. Let’s give them something to loose. If you currently have a subscription to TIME, Newsweek, the NY Times, your local paper (that you feel has not been reporting in an even handed manner) CANCEL IT. WRITE ACROSS THE RENEWAL THE REASON FOR THE CANCELLATION OR SEND A NOTE WITH YOUR CANCELLATION. Were you thinking of going to Disneyland (ABC’s owner)? Write and cancel the trip.

I’m also going to contact the FCC and question whether the lop sided political coverage of Obama has crossed the line into outright advocacy and is a violation of FCC rules. Glimpsing Janet Jackson’s breast for a nanosecond was obscene? The “news” coverage of Obama is obscene! The MSM has abdicated their duty to present the news. Instead the MSM has fed the public a steady and constant stream of opinion slanted to the benefit of one political (their) candidate.

I don’t know if the guilty networks’ behavior fits under an FCC violation, but if the FCC gets enough angry letters, they will have to react in some fashion.

Please do the same. Contact the FCC. Contact anyone who thinks the issues surrounding the survival of our Democracy are critical … ask them to take action. Send this “call to action” to any and all like-minded blogs, websites, and news outlets or we will all be singing our new national anthem. Take a listen.

Just how many times are we to give Obama the benefit of the doubt? Looks like the “lipstick flap” shows us once again, how the Dem’s and Barack’s campaign just don’t get it.

Remember when Barack called that female reporter, Sweetie? Or, how ’bout when . . . he wasn’t really “flipping off” Hillary Clinton, he was just brushing off criticism?

And now, we have the old “lipstick on a pig” routine.

I must confess I have used this saying in a post before. I first heard Ann Richards, when she was running against George Bush for Governor of Texas, make it a part of her speech. The difference is, when she said it, it was funny and her opponent had no connection or reference point to the word that people could connect.

Don’t tell me yet another lame attempt at humor by Barack wasn’t somehow planned or part of his consciousness. Remember his dumb comment about Hillary going duck hunting with a six shooter? That wasn’t funny either.

I’ve said this before. if you are going to use humor as a weapon against your opponent, you’d better have a deft hand. So tell me again, Sarah was put on the GOP ticket just because she’s a woman. Looks to me Barack just got sliced and diced!

Maybe that’s what they mean by field dressing in Alaska. Barack, pucker up, baby . . . the GOP and women across America want to give you a big SMOOCH!

What if:

The Democrats had been smart enough to put Hillary on the ticket?
What if John McCain turns out to be a one term president?

The truth is, for the first time in the history of our country, there is a possibility that two strong, intelligent, & experienced woman could run for President.

Both women have strengths and weaknesses. Both women have many supporters, are well liked by many in the country, and face problems head on with common sense.

I’d have a tough time with this one. Who would you vote for?

Why?

Well, not just because it’s poor form and bad taste and you should know better. And not because it lacks class and makes you no better than the Obamabots who will boo anything Republican, or conservative, or moderate, or anything not Obama.

The next time Sarah mentions Hillary’s name or Geraldine Ferraro’s name embrace them. There will be a great many men and women who supported Hillary and the Democratic party that will be voting for the McCain/Palin ticket because they are placing the country ahead of the party they supported for years.

Embrace the new people entering into GOP tent, even if it is for only one election. We’re the people that will make a difference in this election. The GOP’s new leader, John McCain understands this.

Follow his lead. “Country before party” is a welcome mat and a statement that we need to elect the people best suited to lead us into the future. Don’t get caught, off message!

I was thinking about this, after learning that John McCain’s VP choice is Sarah Palin. Her story and credentials are very attractive and compelling. I say this as a supporter of Hillary Clinton, a long time Democrat now a PUMA, a business woman, a Catholic.

Palin is a very pro-life Republican, mother of 5 children, the most recent child born months ago. What makes this last birth so (many would say) extraordinary is the fact that Palin knew in advance that this child had Downs Syndrome and chose not to abort the child. That makes her a hero in my book because I know this couldn’t have been an easy decision.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in many passionate discussions with men and women about the pro-life pro-choice debate. Yet, I have always been ambivalent about abortion while firmly defending a woman’s right to choose. A very dear friend of mine, herself a mother of 4 children, the last girl born late in life and mentally challenged, told me if pro-choice had been an option she would not have borne this girl because of the negative impact it had on her and her husband and family. I never knew any woman that took abortion lightly . . . not one.

Despite Rome’s position on contraception and like most American Catholics I have no problem with birth control. In years past, big families were the norm. I remember one family with 15 children! That means the mother of this family had been pregnant for 12 years of her life. Wrap your head around that one! One rarely sees Catholic families with 5, 6. 7 children today; two or three children seem to be the norm.

All of that having been said, I wonder how Teddy Kennedy and Caroline Kennedy can support Barack Obama coming from one of the most Catholic family’s in America. The Catholic Church’s position on on conception and abortion are very clear. On March 29th when talking about his daughters, Obama said, “if his daughters made a mistake, he didn’t want them punished with a baby.” He referred to his possible grand child as a mistake. As usual, the MSM skipped over this one, but the blogoshpere did not.

I cannot stand in judgment of anyone, but I remain puzzled on the Kennedy’s support of Barack Obama given his position on abortion.

More than 85 of Clinton’s fundraisers, including Donald Trump, Univision chief executive Joseph Uva, cable mogul Charles Dolan, philanthropist Norma Hess and one of Florida’s biggest lobbyists appear to be skipping Barack Obama when it comes to writing checks for the general election, according to an ABCNews.com review of campaign finance records.

More than a dozen of Hillary Clinton’s fundraisers have contributed to John McCain’s campaign in the last few months.

WHY?

Because McCain is a man who exudes class. More importantly, he’s a savvy politician, wise enough to congratulate Obama on his big night. This is a man who knows how to win . . . win in a dignified & presidential manner, a man that doesn’t need fake Greek columns as a backdrop.

Herman Cain crushed the so-called first tier candidates Mitt Romney (aka mittens) and Rick Perry in yesterday’s Florida straw poll. Cain’s win is important enough to bring international interest, with the International Business Times calling it a new race.

Surprise, surprise. surprise, (not!) the Sunday talk shows are chattering about Cain defeating Romney and Perry in the Florida straw poll.

What is left unsaid is that the real surprise to them is that the voters are not following the MSM & GOP elites narrative on who is likely to run against the fraud Obama.

Their narrative has no room for Herman Cain and so they barely/rarely cover him. Why bring attention to a man who can really turn this country around, right? And so they speak his name in whispers or not at all! All of that changed yesterday.

One of the lessons to be learned in the 2012 election is name recognition isn’t everything. It’s the message that counts! Simply put so even a Progressive “journalist” can understand, the truth will out!

What the GOP elites and the MSM fail to realize, is that they have made themselves increasingly irrelevant to the voters of America. They are as tone deaf to the voters as Obama is to capitalism.

A Cain victory over Obama is payback by the Birthers and independents for the GOP’s failure to tell the truth about Obama’s ineligibility. It is payback for knowingly leading the nation astray. Obama’s a fake and everyone knows it, with the possible exception of the most rabid Obots.

Even worse than Obama’s fraudulent presidency (Born a Brit, not Legit) has been his clear inability to perform the tasks at hand. BHO likes the pomp and circumstance. but the work needed to truly be the POTUS. God, he is such a waste, such an empty suit!

Unlike Romney (picked by Rove) and Perry (said to be NWO), Cain is not a bought man, and that boys ‘n girls is like a breath of fresh air. Unlike Obama, Cain thankfully is not a Progressive!

Over at American Thinker the question was posed, “Is the Cain win an anyone but Romney vote?” I think not. Cain is the real deal, and he’s Obama’s worst nightmare!
