politics Let me see, if I have it right, a new “grass roots” movement (can you spell ACORN or SEIU?) is arising in response to the wildly successful Tea Party Movement, a genuine grass roots movement borne out of the frustration of watching a faux President and his Democratic/socialist lap dogs a the government gone wild … impervious to the wishes of the populace.

I don’t watch Jon Stewart as much as I used to. There was a time when watching the Daily Show was almost a necessity. During presidential campaign he remained, for the most part, someone whose wit could be counted on. He skewered both sides … until Obama was elected.

Blame it on Obama Outrage Fatigue or outright exhaustion from watching the most corrupt Congress in the history of the Republic … I saw this at Flopping Aces yesterday and found myself laughing out loud.

politics Gotta say, I was pulled into global warming too. I believed the junk science that Al Gore and his slew of acolytes were spewing out and feeding us. Did I have my doubts and hesitations? Yes, on occasion I did, but now that we know that global warming data has been cooked, I’m mad. As I sit here in the Deep South where the temperature was 15 degrees when I awoke this morning, I’m not a happy camper.

Wondering why such a dramatic growth? Hmmm maybe this post from Bill Mann will tell you why. Never heard of him? Me neither … I happened across it while I was slumming over at HuffPo. Apparently I don’t get out much.

After all what could be more inconvenient for a young 14 or 15 year old Jewish girl than becoming pregnant out of wedlock in Jewish society of the 1st century? She could have been stoned to death for this pregnancy … a fate that is still melded out in certain societies in the 21st Century.
