I happened across this video the other day and it made me smile not an easy thing given the state of our economy and our country.
(CNN) – Christine O’Donnell, former Delaware GOP Senate candidate, walked off the set of CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” Wednesday when asked about her views on sexual abstinence and gay marriage.
“I’m not talking about policies. I’m not running for office,” O’Donnell said. “Ask Michele Bachmann what she thinks.”
I watched the interview and watched as Piers (I’m going to be a smartass) Morgan tried his best to make Christine O’Donnell look like retard and an idiot.
She walked off the interview? GOOD, he deserved it! Morgan did not treat her with respect, in fact, he was hard pressed not to show he glee asking her questions about her feelings about masturbation, gay marriage, and Don’t Ask Don’t Tell.

The only reason Morgan didn’t bring up the equally superfluous witchcraft statement on Maher’s show from 1999 is because she gathered her dignity about her and left.
It was that damn smirk on his face that got to me. Ah, but let’s face it CNN’s talking heads have never found a conservative woman or Tea Party supporter it didn’t try to belittle or besmirch.
The shame in all of this is that O’Donnell’s new book, Troublemaker discusses some interesting issues including how the GOP, Karl Rove in particular, helped deep six her Delaware campaign for Senate in 2010.
The mistake Rove made was to expose the fact that the truth is there is little difference between the Establishment Right and the Establishment Left. In an election where the possibility of gaining control of the Senate as well as the House was a real possibility his support should have been fully behind O’Donnell.
Instead he backed the Democrat in Delaware and the end result is the country is stuck with Reid and the Obama Progressives. Nice job Karl!

Actually, Standard & Poor, the U.S. rating agency being pummeled by CNN, MSNBC, & the MSM isn’t the first agency to downgrade this country’s credit worthiness. It’s the third! Seems to me that given the political/financial realities of the U.S. economy that S&P has shown great restraint!
After all it;s not as if they didn’t give Team Obama and the Congress fair warning withexact instructions as how to avoid the downgrade…cut $4 trillion in debt!
That’s akin to (the Atlanta teachers recently found changing test answers) giving all concerned (Obama, Geithner, Reid et al.) a crib sheet, Still don’t get it? They gave you the answers, lamebrains one and all!
Who are the other two ratings agencies? Well, they are not part of the the so-called “big three” Western agencies Moody’s, Fitch, and Standard & Poor, perhaps the reason why the MSM said barely reported this.
Egan-Jones (who?) cut our rating in July, plenty of time for Team Obama and the Congress to (at the very least) pretend to get their act together. The story was reported on July 19th and generally ignored by the MSM. Oh, I know, I know, you’re saying to yourself, “What a shock!”
The little known ratings agency said about the downgrade. “The major factor driving credit quality is the relatively high level of debt and the difficulty in significantly cutting spending.”
Exactly who is the other ratings agency to downgrade our debt? It;s China’s Dagong Global, not exactly a household name, but important because the agency is from the country that is the largest holder of U.S. debt.
Dagong Global stated, ” the debt deal had not changed the general trend in which the increase in debt outpaced the increase in GDP and tax revenue. [...] there is an eight-year difference between the two objectives.”
The United States lost its top-notch AAA credit rating from Standard & Poor this evening. Obama is the first President in U.S. history to have this country’s credit rating reduced on his watch! This is a shameful accomplishment from a shamefully incompetent, irresponsible administration.
WhenpResident Obama signed the August 2nd legislation designed to reduce the fiscal deficit crisis by $2.1 trillion over 10 years, it was akin to kicking the can down the streetonce again. S&P was very clear. The U.S. needed to cut its spending by $4 trillion. It didn’t happen by August 2nd the Obama/Geithner drop dead date.
Obama’s economic policieshave been little more than “spend and pretend“; pretend that wasting all that money on non existent shovel ready projects didn’t matter and pretend that losing all those building and construction jobs, NASA jobs, drilling jobs in Gulf, and manufacturing jobs across the country were of little consequence.
How much more economic damage can this country stand as the result of our Poseur President’s policies? Team Obama’s Progressive chickens have come home to roost. Is anyone really surprised at this unprecedented reversal of fortune?
Think about it. We made it through two World Wars, the Great Depression, Korea, Vietnam, President Jimmy Carter, all without suffering the indignity of a credit downgrade. We made it through all of these events, but not through the Obama/Geithner “Progressive” Keynesian economic policies!
Our debt is now 100% of our GDP! We are facing mountains of debt. The economy is stalled, businesses large and small are not hiring, banks aren’t lending and consumers aren’t buying. Food and gas prices are going up, and 14,000,000 people are without jobs! Our economy is so bad even the Mexicans are going home. That would be a funny quip if it weren’t so sad! Apple Computer has more cash on hand than the U.S. Treasury!!!
Businesses are being strangled by over-regulation by EPA, Commerce Department, & Obama’s shadow governing Czars. And looming on the horizon is that monstrosity known as Obamacare! The wonder is that Standard and Poor didn’t downgrade our credit rating even more!
Geithner and Obama need to tender their resignations to the country immediately.

Herman Cain crushedthe so-called first tier candidates Mitt Romney (aka mittens) and Rick Perry in yesterday’s Florida straw poll. Cain’s win is important enough to bring international interest, with the International Business Times calling it a new race.
Surprise, surprise. surprise, (not!) the Sunday talk shows are chattering about Cain defeating Romney and Perry in the Florida straw poll.
What is left unsaid is that the real surprise to them is that the voters are not following the MSM & GOP elites narrative on who is likely to run against the fraud Obama.
Their narrative has no room for Herman Cain and so they barely/rarely cover him. Why bring attention to a man who can really turn this country around, right? And so they speak his name in whispers or not at all! All of that changed yesterday.
One of the lessons to be learned in the 2012 election is name recognition isn’t everything. It’s the message that counts! Simply put so even a Progressive “journalist” can understand, the truth will out!
