If you and your family have never experienced choral singing with a group like The Michael O’Neal Singers you have missed something that is quite extraordinary.
The Michael O’Neal Singers, founded in 1989, is recognized as one of the premier symphonic choruses in the Southeastern United States. They perform under the direction of, Dr. Michael O’Neal, an internationally recognized leader in choral music.
The August 15th performance, entitled a Salute to America, will mark the sixth season of The Michael O’Neal Summer Singers. One hundred and fifty voices will be assembled to sing Randall Thompson’s The Testament of Freedom and Howard Hanson’s Song of Democracy.
In addition to arrangements of America, the Beautiful, God Bless America, and The Battle Hymn of the Republic, there will be texts and music from some of America’s greatest poets, politicians and composers including Julia Ward Howe, Thomas Jefferson, Walt Whitman.
Why you want to want to be there…
To hear the most of the MSM tell it, the Founding Fathers were a bunch of slave owners and atheists or Deists … a rather unsavory group. Oh BTW, that musty document the Constitution, doesn’t hold much meaning in today’s “enlightened” society. It is useful only when we say it is … otherwise we can ignore it. Let’s just call it selective obedience to the laws of the country.
It’s Statism and Socialism that count. Your rights come from us, the new ruling class, and and the fruits of your labor belong to the State! Collective Salvation 
will save us! You belong to the State!
The Progressives have told us this garbage and more. As Michele Obama declared,” this is a time for change and we have to write A NEW HISTORY FOR OUR COUNTRY!” Seems our real history has been inconvenient for them … thus the rush to bury our past and make demons out of heroes.
Listening to Glenn Beck’s shows on the Constitution and our Founding Fathers this summer, the pernicious nature of Progressivism has been revealed along with the beauty and majesty of the Constitution.
I have found myself with a more profound sense of respect and admiration for Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Franklin, Jay et al. Given the political nature of the country today, their words virtually jump off the paper and evoke a deeper meaning than ever before!
From the very first rehearsal, listening to the words and vocalizing music for this concert have been particularly poignant. It is clear from the onset, that our Founders firmly believed our Republic and our rights came directly from our Creator not from any form of government or despotism.
