COFFEE PARTY FAKES “GRASSROOTS” AND FLOPS BIG TIME … ANYONE SURPRISED?

Gosh, I don’t know about you, but I’m surprised! Maybe the secondary headline should read, “Coffee Party goes the way of Air America … down the toilet!”
Imagine a phony ginned-up grassroots movement formed by an Obama operative, a so-called alternative to the Tea Party that ignores the Constitution and loves collectivism failed this weekend?!? Imagine people with a transparent political/socialist agenda and plenty of Chutzpah, lacking passion and vision were incapable of drawing hoards of people eager to join?
The truth is, that despite the breathless news media buildup over the past few weeks from CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, National Public Radio, Washington Post, Seattle Times and dozens of other outlets, the 300 plus coffee houses hosting events on Saturday welcomed minuscule groups. Gosh, guess all these liberal media outlets couldn’t brew up any excitement. (Sorry, ’bout that couldn’t resist.)
The following observations sums this fiasco up:
The liberal answer to the Tea Party movement took shape in the Coffee Party movement — and it fizzled for the lame idea it was. Democrats ought to know (but apparently they don’t) that you can’t fake grassroots.
