STOP THE PRESSES …THE NY TIMES DISCOVERS THE IMPORTANCE OF THE TEA PARTY MOVEMENT THIS WEEKEND!

Well, well, well … the New York Times is discovering the importance of the Tea Party Movement, or so it was pronounced this morning on Morning Joe.

Let’s see, what did it take to get the Gray Lady to move her arse?  Was it the mass march on Washington this past September?   It is estimated that over 1 million people went to Washington to voice their concerns about health care and taxes. No, no, no!

Maybe it was town hall meetings where thousands of angry constituents across the country confronted their elected Washington officials. No, no, no!

Ok then, when Democrat John Corzine lost the governor’s race in New Jersey to a Republican challenger, or when Virginia also elected a Republican governor.  That had an impact didn’t it? Nope, that didn’t do it either.

Well boys ‘n girls we all know how the world changed on Tuesday with the election of Republican Scott Brown to the Senate seat that Teddy Kennedy held for 40 years.  This finally caught the Times attention.

Don’t expect fair coverage, this is after all, a bastion of progressive insanity and foolishness … an Obama stink tank.  I wouldn’t hold my breathe wondering if the pejorative “teabagger” finds it’s way into article either.  Betcha $50 bucks it does!

So look for an analysis that bears little resemblance to the truth … look for something shallow and superficial … looks for a hit job!

Jon Stewart finally nails Olbermann … It’s about time!

I don’t watch Jon Stewart as much as I used to.

There was a time when watching the Daily Show was a necessity. Lately, not so much. During presidential campaign he remained someone whose wit could be counted on to highlight the foolish acts of hypocrites in both parties. He skewered both sides … until Obama was elected.

Then slowly but surely he was no different than the suck-ups and sycophants over at MSNBC and elsewhere. I’ve been tempted to write about how I remembered Stewart when he was funny … and then this. He nailed Olbermann the other night … and it’s about time!

OBAMA,COAKLEY, & THE DEMS IMPLODING … SCOTT BROWN WILL WIN

I’ve been watching the Coakley/Brown  race for Teddy Kennedy’s the People’s Senate seat in Massachusetts with amusement and fascination.

The last few days have shown the world that there is no gutter the desperate Dems won’t get into, no evil or despicable act they will pass on, no lie too big for the Dems and team Obama.  Character assassination?  No problemo!   So what if Brown didn’t really vote to prevent women from getting rape kits!  The pictures looked good didn’t they? Besides isn’t this the same foolproof BS that got the Constitutionally ineligible fraud elected President?

Ya, well I guess you really can fool some of the people all the time, but not this time Sparky!  The people are feed up with back room deals, all the overspending and under-performing. They are tired of the excuses, the phony rhetoric, the bailouts, the 37 Czars, the lack of transparency, and being taken for granted.

CNN is reporting that the White House is predicting a Coakley loss.

Oh, boo hoo! But even better is this, Hot Air is reporting that when the Big O arrived at his venue to speak barely 1,500 people were there … not counting the hecklers … yes, I said hecklers!

Regardless of the motivation, the result speaks for itself. While Scott Brown drew at least 3,000 for his big rally this afternoon, Obama struggled to fill his venue:

But Obama and a parade of Democrats who appeared on stage before a crowd a local fire official put at 1,100 at Northeastern University’s modest gymnasium spent much of their time trying to explain to the audience, and to themselves, how they had lost their grip on the public “anger” – a word that has replaced “hope” as the emotion Democrats seek to channel.

He couldn’t fill a hall for Deval Patrick in October, either. If Coakley was looking for a game-changer, she’s going to be disappointed.

Update: The Boston Globe puts Obama’s rally at 1500 and Brown’s at 2200 (in the main room), but makes the point that the President got overshadowed by the state Senator!

And if you think things can’t get worse, you’d be wrong. Teddy Kennedy’s home town paper, the Cape Cod Times has just endorsed Scott Brown.

In his last re-election to the state Senate in 2008, Brown won by a 59-41 percent margin. Part of his success comes from his willingness to work with Democrats on important issues.

“I would not have been overwhelmingly re-elected if I didn’t know how to work across party lines,” Brown said in the primary. “If the Democrats have a good idea, I’d be happy to vote with them.”

Brown is exactly what Washington needs — someone who will vote his conscience rather than spew party rhetoric.

The notion of change as an important ingredient here cannot be underestimated, not because the Democrats are necessarily on the wrong path, but because good government is enhanced by two viable parties.

In the special Senate election on Tuesday, we recommend Scott Brown.

CITIZEN JOURNALISTS NEED TO HEAD TO MASSACHUSETTS TO MONITER THE COAKLEY/BROWN ELECTION

If you have been following the special election race in Massachusetts you are aware of the Martha (of course that Senate seat is mine) Coakley and Scott (no, it’s the people’s seat) Brown battle that is going on.

Ole Martha baby was supposed to be a shoe-in to take over Teddy Kennedy’s Senate seat, she would be the 60th vote to help pass that monstrosity of a pork laden bill, masquerading as healthcare reform.  Obama and the Dimocrats would have their “victory” and Hallelujah all would be right in the world of liberal/progressive droids masquerading as legislators in the Congress of these United States.

Well, the funny thing is, no one told Scott Brown that, nor were the citizens of Massachusetts consulted.  See, it  was a foregone conclusion, in the same manner as Caroline Kennedy’s assumptive notion that she should get the Senate seat in New York  when Hillary left.

I first became aware of Brown when Texas Darlin came out of retirement and her blog went live again. (Here’s were a real Hallelujah is in order!) One need listen to Brown for a few moments to know he is the real deal as witnessed in the recent Brown/Coakley debate.  They are nearly tied in the race and some people think Brown will whip Coakley.  There’s a lot at stake here for the Obama White House, Pelosi, and Reid!

Why should citizen journalists be heading to Massachusetts?  Two reasons.

  1. Because as Michelle Malkin and others are reporting, the thugs and thugettes from SEIU are being marshalled to go to Massachusetts to help in the election. You remember SEIU don’t you … the ones that roughed up that black conservative in August of ’09 simply for passing flags out!
  2. If you think the Obama/Holder “Justice” Department will do anything if the SEIU thugs pull a Black Panthers move on election day, I’ve got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you.  Apparently voter intimidation is OK if you are black and not so much if you’re white or don’t hold the beliefs of the Obamobots!  Holder let them off … shameful!  But at least you know who the enemy is!

Purple Army to Coakley’s rescue: SEIU sends $685,000 more; And speaking of thugs…

By Michelle Malkin  •  January 12, 2010 10:27 PM

I told you on New Year’s weekend and again last week that the SEIU was “pulling out all the stops” for Mass. Attorney General and Democrat Senate candidate Martha Coakley.

Now, on top of all the manpower that the Big Labor army of Purple Shirts has lent her, plus the group’s primary endorsement, and the $214,000 they sent her for radio ad buys last fall, the SEIU is preparing to burn through another $685,000 in rank-and-file union members’ dues for the attorney general.

Want more?  Listen to this audio clip, (H/T No Quarter).  The clip is about 37 minutes long.  If you want to hear John Fund immediately, he’s about ten minutes into the segment.

For more on the rumor about SEIU, and other delicious details, check out the MP3 of John Batchelor’s information-rich interview of John Fund on January 12th. This interview is so great that I was tempted to try to transcribe it for you. But just listen. The first part of the MP3 is about Haiti, but keep listening, or fast-forward to the spot shown in the image below.:

CARDINALS 51 GREEN BAY 45 … HEY REF, WHERE’S THE FACE MASK CALL?

Normally I don’t write about sports, the NFL in particular.  That’s because my business is sports marketing.  My company has merchandised “hot market” properties, including the Super Bowl for many years.  I made a decision a long time ago not to become emotionally involved with any NFL team, because my heart had been broken too many times.  Last night’s game is a reminder of why I decided to disengage.

I watched the Green Bay/Cardinals game last night and thought at the end, “man what a lousy way for Green Bay to lose!”   I missed the final play because I switched channels for moment and came back to see the replay of the touchdown.  I saw all I needed to see, Green Bay lost in a heart breaker.  What a way to lose a big game, right?

Then this morning I got up and much to my surprise I find that Green Bay didn’t lose in heart breaker, they were robbed!  The refs “missed” one of the most blatant face mask calls I’ve ever seen.

When Adams  sacked Rodgers he held on to his face mask and twisted forcefully … disgusting!  There should have been a 15 yard penalty against the Cardinals.  The way Rogers was throwing last night there was a very good chance of the Pack going down the field for a Field goal or a touchdown.

Here’s the section of the rulebook that applies to roughing the passer in this situation (12-2-13, p. 85):

In covering the passer position, Referees will be particularly alert to fouls in which defenders impermissibly use the helmet and/or facemask to hit the passer, or use hands, arms, or other parts of the body to hit the passer in the head, neck, or face (see also the other unnecessary-roughness rules covering these subjects). A defensive player must not use his facemask or other part of his helmet against a passer who is in a virtually defenseless posture — for example, (a) forcibly hitting the passer’s head, neck, or face with the helmet or facemask, regardless of whether the defensive player also uses his arms to tackle the passer by encircling or grasping him, or (b) lowering the head and violently or unnecessarily making forcible contact with the “hairline” or forehead part of the helmet against any part of the passer’s body. This rule does not prohibit incidental contact by the mask or non-crown parts of the helmet in the course of a conventional tackle on a passer.

The Morning funnies … We are in Real Trouble!

We are in trouble…

There are 300 million people in this country160 million are retired.

That leaves 140 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school.

Which leaves 55 million to do the work.

Of this there are 35 million employed by the federal government.

Leaving 20 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Osama

Bin-Laden.

Which leaves 17.2 million to do the work.

Take from that total the 15.8 million people who work for state and city

Governments. And that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals.

Leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work.

You and me.

And there you are,

Sitting on your ass,

At your computer, reading jokes.

Nice.

Real nice.

THE GREAT GLOBAL WARMING HOAX

Want to make a conservative, independent, libertarian, or Tea Party member mad?  Lie to them.  Want to make a “progressive”, Obamabot, or liberal mad?  Tell them the truth!

Gotta say, I was pulled into the global warming scam too.  I believed the junk science that Al Gore and his slew of acolytes were spewing out and feeding us.  Did I have my doubts and hesitations?  Yes, on occasion I did (remember Time Magazine told us we were entering a new Ice Age in 1974), but now that we know that global warming data has been cooked, I’m mad.  As I sit here in the Deep South where the temperature was 15 degrees when I awoke this morning, I’m not a happy camper.I’m cold and I’m pissed.

As I’ve begun my own investigations into the subject, it is clear, that the “evidence” was never overwhelming.  Hey, but what a great way to raise donations, sell books, and movies etc.  Seems the earth’s temperatures have actually been cooling for the last ten years, but the MSM and MSNBC (in particular & where green is Universal) never reported that did they?

Climate and climate changes are much more complicated than releasing too much carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.  Our temperatures are impacted by forces that are greater than man’s impact on the environment.  Those factors include the earth’s tilt and axis just for starters.  FYI, here’s a little known fact that can be easily checked.  The great Sahara desert turns green about 20,000 years.  Want to read more about this here and here.

In the meantime, thanks to Frozengore.com for their work. (As an aside, can you believe I actually voted for this nimrod?)

Take a look at the Climate Change Timeline and view the number of times we’ve been told the climate is getting warmer … no, make that cooler … no, make that warmer! Oh, hell!

For at least 114 years, climate “scientists” have been claiming that the climate was going to kill us…but they have kept switching whether it was a coming ice age, or global warming.

  • 1981 – Global Warming – “of an almost unprecedented magnitude” – New York Times
  • 1988 – I would like to draw three main conclusions. Number one, the earth is warmer in 1988 than at any time in the history of instrumental measurements. Number two, the global warming is now large enough that we can ascribe with a high degree of confidence a cause and effect relationship to the greenhouse effect. And number three, our computer climate simulations indicate that thegreenhouse effect is already large enough to begin to effect the probability of extreme events such as summer heat waves. – Jim Hansen, June 1988 testimony before Congress, see His later quote and His superior’s objection for context
  • 1989 -”On the one hand, as scientists we are ethically bound to the scientific method, in effect promising to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but – which means that we must include all doubts, the caveats, the ifs, ands and buts. On the other hand, we are not just scientists but human beings as well. And like most people we’d like to see the world a better place, which in this context translates into our working to reduce the risk of potentially disastrous climate change. To do that we need to get some broad based support, to capture the public’s imagination. That, of course, means getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have. This “double ethical bind” we frequently find ourselves in cannot be solved by any formula. Each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. I hope that means being both.” – Stephen Schneider, lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Discover magazine, October 1989

  • 1993 – “Global climate change may alter temperature and rainfall patterns, many scientists fear, with uncertain consequences for agriculture.” – U.S. News and World Report
  • 1998 – No matter if the science [of global warming] is all phony . . . climate change [provides] the greatest opportunity to bring about justice and equality in the world.” —Christine Stewart, Canadian Minister of the Environment, Calgary Herald, 1998
  • 2001 – “Scientists no longer doubt that global warming is happening, and almost nobody questions the fact that humans are at least partly responsible.” – Time Magazine, Monday, Apr. 09, 2001
  • 2003 – Emphasis on extreme scenarios may have been appropriate at one time, when the public and decision-makers were relatively unaware of the global warming issue, and energy sources such as “synfuels,” shale oil and tar sands were receiving strong consideration” – Jim Hansen, NASA Global Warming activist, Can we defuse The Global Warming Time Bomb?, 2003
  • 2006 – “I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis.” — Al Gore, Grist magazine, May 2006
  • Now: The global mean temperature has fallen for two years in a row, which is why you stopped hearing details about the actual global temperature, even while they carry on about taxing you to deal with it…how long before they start predicting an ice age?

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO FIGHT TERRORISM BEFORE YOU BOARD THAT PLANE

If you fly, I strongly suggest that you read this entire post by Randy Plante.  Mr. Plante is a pilot and has offered some real suggestions as to what you can do and what to observe before you board your next flight and once you are on board.

How to Recognize and Fight a Terrorist on a Plane
01/05/2010
[...]
As a passenger you must be observant and vigilant. Most often someone notices some unusual activity or behavior. It doesn’t have to be just a person either. Suspicious bags, luggage, packages, notes, pillows, and electronic devices have been found on planes.  One of the biggest advantages you have is the ability to profile. TSA refuses to do the obvious thanks to political correctness.
[...]
Some things to look for: groups or pairs of men, a passenger talking to themselves, speaking Arabic, watching crew members (this is different than looking), staring at the cockpit door, long stays or multiple trips to the lavatory, reading a book but not turning any pages, nervousness, being unusual by trying to fit in, taking pictures/videos, not making eye contact. When you are at the boarding area and on the plane if you notice a suspicious passenger, look for others.  How many?  If it is one or two then they could be planning on bombing the aircraft or just making observations of crew procedures.  6 or more?  Then this cell’s objective would be hijacking the plane by brute force.  Also remember that there are sleepers that try to blend in with the other passengers and could be very hard to notice.

Two more points Mr. Plante makes:
[...]
While seated look for able-bodied men, military personnel, or deadheading crew to assist you.  Maybe you notice a suspicious passenger but do not feel it warrants a visit with TSA/Flight Attendant or it happens inflight . Volunteer yourself or change seats on your own to sit next to or right behind any suspicious passengers.  A recent crew moved a soldier to sit next to a nervous Middle-Eastern passenger before pushback.  Once while I was deadheading in coach during a flight, the captain told the flight attendant to move me next to a suspicious passenger.
[...]
If an actual attack occurs, then all bets are off.  Take Action! DO NOT wait for crewmember instruction! This is a life or death situation.

Remember Todd Beamer’s phrase “Let’s roll” was widely cited and later became a battle cry for those fighting Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

“PROGRESSIVES”, LIBERALS, & DEMS LAMENT … FOX NEWS BEST YEAR EVER… HEAD & SHOULDERS OVER CNN & MSNBC

This is from Media Bistro

As 2009 comes to a close, we’re giving you a look at how the cable news networks grew during the first decade of the 21st Century. In the case of Fox News, stratospheric growth of nearly 570% over 10 years. The charts track each network’s Nielsen ratings average for each of the last 10 years, from Dec. 27, 1999 – Dec. 23, 2009. First, the total day ratings averages for Monday-Sunday. And after the jump, the A25-54 demo.

Wondering why such a dramatic growth?  Hmmm maybe this post from Bill Mann will tell you why.  Never heard of him?  Me neither … I happened across his post while I was slumming over at HuffPo. Apparently I don’t get out much.

If fact, if YOU watch FOX News you don’t get out much either.  Must be the bitterness and gun clinging that is keeping us in.

The Huffington Post piece added that shows like the dimbulb “O’Reilly Factor” have kicked ass this year. But isn’t that what the thuggish Bill-O does..kick ass? Well, beat up on people.
I’ll let you in on a little secret among many of us TV critics. One you may well have already guessed. There are a lot if shut-ins out there. Lots of them.
My daughter, for example, lived until recently in an apartment in the San Francisco Area above a woman she never met. The woman’s TV was on literally 24 hours a day, and tobacco smoke wafted from her dreary cocoon. She left her door ajar, presumably to let some smoke escape, so I could hear what was on TV when I walked past her door. The woman, who wasn’t disabled, rarely went out (and she wasn’t elderly), and she was watching mostly Fox News. Quelle surprise!

And that boys and girls just about says it all.

When we were in college we used to have a word for pompous idiots like Mann, we used to call them flying assholes.  Yup, Mr. Mann is a Flying A!

If you want to see just how big a Flying A Mann is, read the rest of his article … that is if you can put your cigarette down long enough ( with those tobacco stained fingers of yours) and click over there.

REVOLVER

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

George Orwell.

besides…

Herman Cain can become the Peoples President. Unlike Obama, Cain’s grassroots support is real not manufactured.

THE PEOPLES PRESIDENT 2012

Herman Cain crushed the so-called first tier candidates Mitt Romney (aka mittens) and Rick Perry in yesterday’s Florida straw poll. Cain’s win is important enough to bring international interest, with the International Business Times calling it a new race.

Surprise, surprise. surprise, (not!) the Sunday talk shows are chattering about Cain defeating Romney and Perry in the Florida straw poll.

What is left unsaid is that the real surprise to them is that the voters are not following the MSM & GOP elites narrative on who is likely to run against the fraud Obama.

Their narrative has no room for Herman Cain and so they barely/rarely cover him. Why bring attention to a man who can really turn this country around, right? And so they speak his name in whispers or not at all! All of that changed yesterday.

One of the lessons to be learned in the 2012 election is name recognition isn’t everything. It’s the message that counts! Simply put so even a Progressive “journalist” can understand, the truth will out!

What the GOP elites and the MSM fail to realize, is that they have made themselves increasingly irrelevant to the voters of America. They are as tone deaf to the voters as Obama is to capitalism.

A Cain victory over Obama is payback by the Birthers and independents for the GOP’s failure to tell the truth about Obama’s ineligibility. It is payback for knowingly leading the nation astray. Obama’s a fake and everyone knows it, with the possible exception of the most rabid Obots.

Even worse than Obama’s fraudulent presidency (Born a Brit, not Legit) has been his clear inability to perform the tasks at hand. BHO likes the pomp and circumstance. but the work needed to truly be the POTUS. God, he is such a waste, such an empty suit!

Unlike Romney (picked by Rove) and Perry (said to be NWO), Cain is not a  bought man, and that boys ‘n girls is like a breath of fresh air.  Unlike Obama, Cain thankfully is not a Progressive!

Over at American Thinker the question was posed, “Is the Cain win an anyone but Romney vote?”  I think not. Cain is the real deal, and he’s Obama’s worst nightmare!

OBAMA BORN A BRIT NOT LEGIT
Let's be clear. The eligibility requirement for POTUS is natural born citizen, not naturalized citizen, not native born citizen, not citizen of the United States.
Each type of citizenship has a legal definition and is very specific despite the attempts by Team Obama, the co-conspirators in the judiciary, Congress, and the MSM to conflate the terms and bastardize the Presidency.
