Some weeks there is so much going on in the world of politics that it is hard to focus on that which is most important. We were forcused on Saturday’s meeting, then yesterday the latest Obama paster scandal erupted.
This time it is Father Pfleger, a white Catholic priest spewing racial hatred from Obama’s church, mocking Hillary and calling her a white supremacist. But we’re not going there . . . at least not now. Instead, just random thoughts . . .

We all knew Olbermann was going to do it.
It wasn’t a question of if, no, no. no! It was a merely question of how absurdly hyercharged and bloviated the Keith Olbermann “Special Comment” (regarding Hillary’s mention of June election timelines, Bill Clinton, and Robert F. Kennedy) was going to be. Knowing Olbermann was going to leap over the top was easy. The fun was to bet on how hysterical, overwrought, and phony his synthetic outrage was going to be on camera.
Has anyone forgotten his “outrage” when it was discovered that someone had breached Obama’s passport records? OMG, he devoted an entire hour to the story the night it happened. When it was reported that Hillary’s records and McCain’s records had also been accessed, the “outrage” ceased. The man is an idiot.
Olbermann has long since stopped being a man principle, a man whose words one could trust, a beacon of enlightened intellect and humor in the usually dull and vapid cable media spectrum. Any pretext of objectively as it relates to Obama has long since dissipated into the night. Olbermann’s nightly pimping and whoring for Obama’s candidacy has reached a point of insufferability.
It didn’t matter that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. issued a statement that he knew Hillary meant no harm. It didn’t matter that the original source of the story issued a statement noting they understood what Hillary was talking about and meant no harm. It didn’t matter that numerous media talking heads had (begrudgingly) admitted that Hillary was clearly distressed her comments might have caused anyone discomfort or pain. It didn’t matter!
True to form he launched into his latest Hillary attack blaming her for every transgression known to man. It would have been funny if it weren’t so sickening and pathetic. Olbermann fumed & fulminated, berating Hillary for:
On and on and on he droned emphasizing the hideous nature of the word assassination while he used it 13 times during the Special Comment!
Before I wrote this post, I happened across the word tartuffery and immediately thought about Olbermann’s resemblance to Tartuffe, a sleazoid character in the 1664 play by Molière. For those looking for a fuller definition of tartuffery see:

You have to give it to Barack and his Campaign for Change.
Hillary had just trounced him soundly in West Virginia and even the MSM were forced to take notice and give her credit. The Anointed One . . . the Presumptive Nominee of the Democratic Party had once again been unable to close the deal, suffering the worse defeat of the entire campaign. His response was to pull off a switcheroo worthy of the world’s best magician.
Hmmm . . . what to do, what to do? How do we get Hillary off the front pages and steal her thunder? How ‘bout we interject ourselves into a story that we aren’t any part of.
Thus, Barack and his gang hijacked Bush’s speech celebrating Israeli’s 60th anniversary as a State. In a beautifully orchestrated scream, they took Bush to task for “interjecting domestic politics” in his speech to the Israeli Knesset when he is supposed to have compared Obama to Neville Chamberlain.
Say what? I heard what Bush said, and never, not once, did I think Bush’s words had anything to do with Obama; and why would they? Countless people in countless settings have given the “appeasement speech” countless times over the years.
It was entirely appropriate talk about appeasement, once again, to those who have suffered its consequences on a magnitude unrivaled in history. Who better to understand Hitler and the Nazi’s and those who foolishly tried reasoning with these thugs and murderers?
Think about what a brilliant strategic move this was. Obama interjects himself into a story that wasn’t about him or his naive positions on dealing with terrorists and terrorist nations. Slow news day; let’s fabricate an issue. Sweet!
This blew Hillary’s big win in West Virginia off the front pages! Suddenly BO became the center of attention challenging Bush and McCain. Worse still for Hillary, this looked like a debate in the general election. Anyone remember West Virginia? Hillary who?
Barack is a new kind of politician all right. Obama’s campaign is meaner and nastier than anything I remember . . . just packaged differently. It is more subtle, plus, you get knifed when least expected. Hey, where’d that come from?
Rove and the Republicans must surely recognize this move as a top notch, ballsy, in your face maneuver. My bet is that the November playbook will need adjustment and will include more “strike first” tactics.
The voters in West Virginia have spoken. Forget Obama! Hillary beat Barack with over 63% of the votes cast! This was not only a trouncing, but also a complete repudiation of Obama’s campaign.
How are the pundits, his mouthpieces, and the pro-Obama spinning it? This state wasn’t important; these were Hillary’s kinds of voters, despite this vote, he’ll win West Virginia when it counts in November or . . . so what if he loses West Virginia in the general election, he can win the presidency without the state.
The facts speak for themselves:
Barack Obama received 23% of the votes.
It is becoming more apparent every day, Barack Obama, the candidate that the DNC and Howard Dean want to shove down our throats, the Democratic Party’s “presumptive nominee”, the candidate that the MSM and the empty headed political pundits continue to push to the forefront is an empty suit and more and more of the voters recognize it. The voters in West Virginia did.
Think about this for a moment. Step outside yourselves and look at this from a logical perspective.
In a few hours the voters of West Virginia will be going to the polls to vote for the person they feel will best represent their wants, needs, and aspirations in the November election for president. Is that person the democratic party’s “presumptive nominee” Barack Obama? No!
Its Hillary Clinton. She is projected to beat Obama by 40% or more. Are you kidding me? Our presumptive nominee can’t beat her in West Virginia, and we are to accept this as a validation of his candidacy? And still, Hillary fights on for her supporters and the country; that pesky woman just can’t take a hint, can she?
If Barak is such a terrific candidate, why isn’t he sweeping through the balance of the states? The truth is, he isn’t that terrific and 16.9 million Hillary voters have said so. If he were, Hillary would have been long gone. She’s still in this race because so much of America doesn’t like or trust Barack’s brand of politics. Don’t bother jumping ugly. This has nothing to do with the color of his skin or the cut of his suit . . . it is about his believes, his lack of experience, and his lack of courage. If the situation was reversed, do really think Barack would be fighting on?
You see, if BO scores a win its important and if Hillary scores a win, it was expected. Ahhh, it was expected and therefore, to be discounted. See the difference? No? Neither do I.
The truth is there has been so much finagling and hypocrisy on the part of Dean, others within the DNC to give Obama the nomination that words like breathtaking don’t come close to describing the travesty, and the thumping democracy has taken.
Turns out, Dean has always had a solution to Florida and Michigan situation. According to Terry McAuliffe, the rules already give Dean the ability to take 50% of the delegates away from Florida and Michigan for holding their primaries early. The votes would be proportionally divided the candidates. Dean never had to use a nuclear option of taking a 100% of the delegates away, despite misrepresentations to the contrary.
Bet you didn’t hear that on MSNBC! This cable network has stepped over the line so many times; it should be dubbed the OBAMA PROPAGANDA MACHINE, not a news organization.
Remember this folks, if Barack moves from “presumptive nominee” to nominee of the democratic party, you can expect another Republican president thanks to some of folks already noted in this post.
Many of these people are the same political genius’ that gave us McGovern (was only able to win 2 states in the presidential election), Mondale (was only able to win 1 states in the presidential election), and Carter, a failed four year democratic president.
See that puff of smoke? What’s that sound? . . . boom! Ah, yes the McGovern death spiral. Thanks, guys!
As I mentioned in part one of Obama as Road Kill, the Stephen Marks book, Confessions of a Political Hitman, should be required reading of every Obama supporter, including Howard Dean, the Superdelegates who are jumping ship, and all those intent on bringing another Republican to the White House.
For those who missed part one, the sub title of his book is . . . My Secret Life of Scandal, Corruption, Hypocrisy, And Dirty Attacks That Decide Who Gets Elected (And Who Doesn’t.) Political junkies can attest to the fact that the Democrats have a unique ability of repeatedly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. The Democratic “success” record of controlling the White House speaks for itself. In the last 40 years, the Democrats have held the White House only 12 of those years!
One of the ways this happens is the liberal media (New York Times, MSNBC, CNN. et al) and folks way over on the extreme left continually delude themselves into thinking “they know” what is important to the voting blocks that win elections in this country. They have consistently shown they are wrong. It is precisely this kind of thinking that is responsible for 28 years of Nixon/Ford, Reagan, Bush I, and Bush II in the White House.
The Democrats only successful two-term Democratic president was Bill Clinton. As I remember, he had to fight the political establishment to win the nomination. Jimmy Carter was bounced out of office after 4 years. His was a failed presidency. Subsequently, the country suffered through Reagan’s “trickle down” economics ( a hideous concept) and the largest deficit recorded. When Bush II leaves office in January 2009, he will have the ignominious distinction of leaving a larger deficit than Reagan!
The RNC, McCain’s campaign, those hideous 527 groups whose raison d’être is to target, to obfuscate, to diminish, and to demean the record of the opposition, and a host of others . . . all those committed to trying to retain the White House for the Republicans are already refining their Obama playbooks for the upcoming November election.
Let’s be clear. This has been going on for quite some time. Most of what the Republicans will be throwing up against Barack will have come from the candidate himself and not from Hillary. As badly as media wants to portray Hillary as the “bad guy”, the truth is the “bitter” comments that demeaned large segments of the American population, the Rev. Wright controversy, Bill Ayres, the flap over the flag pin . . . these all belong to Barack.
Moreover, don’t think that race-baiting tactic by the Obama campaign has gone un-noticed by those of us who looked to him to be a different kind of candidate. The tactic is simple. Should anyone have the temerity to discuss issues/topics that will be viewed differently by the diverse segments of the population . . . call them a racist. Whether it is true or not, is of no consequence. The idea is to throw the Molotov cocktail and let the long term consequences be damned.
On the face of things, capturing and regaining the White House should be a “cake walk” given the last 7 years of Bush, his cronies, the collapse of the Republican revolution & subsequent loss of control in the Congress, the economy, the war, etc. The list of reasons why the Republicans should loose the White House is endless, yet here we are, and McCain is holding his own against Obama.
If the election were held today, McCain would win narrowly beat Obama! The only question is by how large a margin. The most recent polls show Hillary beating McCain by an even bigger margin. Until recently, the conventional wisdom was the conservatives wanted to go up against Hillary. Then a funny thing happened . . . she turned out to be one hell of a good candidate.
Imagine, the polls show Hillary beating McCain with Obama losing, and hosts of fools keep insisting she should drop out for the good of the party! Say, what? Surely, this is a sign of political insanity!
What will the Republicans do to defeat Obama? To begin with, for all you “youngins” out there and those new to the political process get ready for a slime fest. Here’s how Obama will be portrayed. He will be shown to be:
If you want to hear a continual recitation of these points, simply listen to Sean Hannity either on the FOX show, Hannity & Colmes or on his radio show. In fact, seek out the conservative talk shows and listen to what is being talked about. You will hear the points I’ve just listed and more.
Early in Stephen Marks book, Hitman, he mentions how much he hated Bill Clinton and how (over time) this changed to admiration for what he was able to accomplish during his administration. He states, “I now believe that he was a true visionary who was the first major politician of his time to truly understand that America was a country of passionate centrists deeply distrusting of both political extremes. Clinton was articulating this vision of what we know as “triangulation,” which was not only good politics, but good policy as well.”
As we go forward into November, does anyone question that Hillary isn’t the candidate that is best suited to bring the American people together and get American moving in the right direction, again? Who better to use the art of triangulation to the country’s benefit?
In a little more than 24 hours we will all know how Hillary did in Indiana and in North Carolina. Most of the mainstream media continues with its anointing Obama narrative, fearful that Hillary will pull another rabbit out of her hat.
What the country is witnessing is the gold standard in campaigning . . . Hillary was wonderful on FOX with Bill O’Reilly and on Sunday’s, This Week with George Stephanopoulos. First husband, Bill, has hit his stride again as he talks to people in small towns all over North Carolina and Indiana . . . and the sound you hear in the background? It’s the sound of Hillary’s campaign machine as it hums along.
If your only source of news was MSNBC, you would never know that Hillary is poised to confound the pundits, her critics, and Obamakins, yet again. North Carolina voters could actually choose Hillary over Barak; and if that happens this game isn’t over. If that’s not a come from behind upset, I don’t know what is.
So what does this have to do with Obama’s Chickenhood?
Well, the truth is this, anything can happen in a campaign. Should the worst case scenario take place and Hillary were to lose the nomination to Obama after every option had been exhausted, I would have no choice but to support McCain.
The reason is, I believe that at this point in his life, Barack Obama lacks the type of courage this country needs. Obama’s message for change is spot on. We are all tired of Bush, the war, the antics of the many, and the accomplishments of the few. We may be looking at “right message . . . wrong man.”
No matter how hard I try, I can’t get over the fact that Obama has voted present over 100 times; not yes or no, but present! Come on, Barack, how much courage does it take to place a vote one way or another and make it part of the record? What is this, more situational ethics or another case of being too cute, once again? Some would even call this kind of behavior deceptive.
Now compare the courage of McCain when he was a prisoner of war! His captors offered McCain an opportunity to leave years early and he chose to stay with this men. That takes courage! How much courage does it take to cast a vote? My guess is, a lot less than spending 5 years as a prisoner of war in Viet Nam.
Hillary gets up every morning and fights to win this nomination in order to make this country the country it can be . . . all of this in the face of occasional ridicule and a national media that long ago wanted her out so they could continue their inane narrative about Barack.
Let’s not forget to mention the assorted “fast friends” who have chosen to jump ship while wrapping themselves with intellectual dishonesty about the rationale behind their switching. In the face of all of this, Hillary fights on for the heart and soul of this country . . . that takes courage!

Herman Cain crushed the so-called first tier candidates Mitt Romney (aka mittens) and Rick Perry in yesterday’s Florida straw poll. Cain’s win is important enough to bring international interest, with the International Business Times calling it a new race.
Surprise, surprise. surprise, (not!) the Sunday talk shows are chattering about Cain defeating Romney and Perry in the Florida straw poll.
What is left unsaid is that the real surprise to them is that the voters are not following the MSM & GOP elites narrative on who is likely to run against the fraud Obama.
Their narrative has no room for Herman Cain and so they barely/rarely cover him. Why bring attention to a man who can really turn this country around, right? And so they speak his name in whispers or not at all! All of that changed yesterday.
One of the lessons to be learned in the 2012 election is name recognition isn’t everything. It’s the message that counts! Simply put so even a Progressive “journalist” can understand, the truth will out!
What the GOP elites and the MSM fail to realize, is that they have made themselves increasingly irrelevant to the voters of America. They are as tone deaf to the voters as Obama is to capitalism.
A Cain victory over Obama is payback by the Birthers and independents for the GOP’s failure to tell the truth about Obama’s ineligibility. It is payback for knowingly leading the nation astray. Obama’s a fake and everyone knows it, with the possible exception of the most rabid Obots.
